About OncoNIG360 App
OncoNIG360 is an innovative mobile application designed to provide Nigerians with comprehensive, real-time information about radiotherapy services across the country. In response to the growing need for accessible cancer treatment, OncoIG360 aims to bridge the information gap by offering detailed data on radiotherapy centers, including their locations, available services, equipment, personnel, waiting times, and appointment scheduling. The COVID-19 pandemic reduced access to physical cancer care and disrupted clinical services. The only silver lining is increased requests for and adoption of digital health services. During the lockdown, a lot of patients and caregivers migrated online in search for cancer care information and support, effectively becoming e-patients
By leveraging cutting-edge Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, OncoIG360 maps radiotherapy centers across Nigeria, enabling users to find the nearest facility based on their location. This location-based service ensures that individuals, especially those in remote or underserved areas, can access timely and accurate information to make informed decisions about their healthcare.
The app's user-friendly interface and centralized database make it easy for patients, healthcare providers, and policymakers to track and manage radiotherapy resources. With OncoNIGG360, we aim to contribute to the achievement of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) as outlined in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3, ensuring that all Nigerians have access to quality cancer care and treatment.
Vision:
To empower individuals across Nigeria with easy access to real-time information on radiotherapy services, improving geographic accessibility, healthcare delivery, and contributing to the achievement of Universal Health Coverage in line with UN SDG Goal 3.
Mission:
To design and develop a user-friendly mobile application that centralizes information about radiotherapy centers in Nigeria, offering real-time data on locations, services, equipment, personnel, waiting times, and appointment scheduling. By integrating Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, we aim to improve healthcare accessibility and resource distribution, ensuring equitable and timely cancer treatment across the country.
